Benepali

My Rheumy put me on Benepali 7 weeks ago for AS. I am getting 5 reasonably good days with less stiffness and pain. I take my injections on Mondays, by the time Saturday comes I can't wait till the next Monday. Is this the normal pattern or should it improve further? Not that I'm complaining, feel better now than I have in the last 5 yr 😁

Hi runrig01 I too am new to benepali, it will be injection 5 on Tuesday. I must say I too get to sat sun and think roll on Injections lol although I find it really painfull to do I know it's over and done with once I stand up lol. I thi k I can honestly say that my mornings are greatly improved, but I have just movedhome and know that I've overdone things..no choice I live alone. I used to take injection on Wed morning but I moved it forward to an evening as tolerance was better. The next morning after I feel fab however my day declines quite rapidly if i do too much. On tbe 2nd day after I am hit with fatigue and tend to sleep on and off all day on sofa.. This does me no good as I have terrible disturbed sleep at night..but i cant alter the fatigue day. I have noticed that I'm having really bad hot flushes, don't k ow if this is connected to injection but I had total hysterectomy 2014 and my hot flushes stopped after 6 mths, now since benepali they are back....any tips welcome please! How do you feel since the injections I too was methotrexate then lev something then sulphersalozine and nothing g for 6 mths as had bad reactions to all of the above..so had very painful full 6mths until just started benepali. But unsure if there's much improvement at moment

Oh god yes, I take mine on Tuesday, now its sunday and im thinking about them now. Like you I am getting reasonable days not great days. When I was on methotrexate I forgot about the ra, but for me the side effects of sickness where debilitating

I've been on these for about 8 weeks, they started working from day 1, I wish they did a stronger one, feels like ive been given a reduced dose.

I'm on the standard 50mg one, and like you it worked from day one within 4hrs x
