It's been 14 months so far with the ra and just when I think that we have the right meds they stop just after 3 months. When will this stop.
Just wondering : It's been 14 months so far with the... - NRAS
Just wondering
You don't say why the meds have been stopped. Was it because of the blood results or were you having a reaction to the meds or are you to have a operation or have a chest infection.xxxx
Do you mean the meds stop working, or that the prescription stopped? Sometimes the meds need adjusting or maybe you need to try another regime?
I had that happen to me after a severe chest infection. As my rheumatologist said, RA has a memory! It just kept flaring up until I started another type, methotrexate in my case.
Wishing you all the best

If you mean the meds stop being effective I think that's unusual because with most, unless you've started each on the highest safe dose for RD, the dose can be increased (titred up) until you reach the most effective one for your specific needs. Or, your current regime could be replaced with alternative meds if you've given each long enough to reach their potential (thinking DMARDs which need time to build up not anti-tnf's/biologics which are generally fast acting). Do you have regular Rheumy appointments, so your Rheumy is aware of what you're asking here?
If this doesn't help could you please expand your question it may help us, thanks. 🙂
