Just back from rheumatology, too many side effects from sulfa so now I'm keeping methotrexate and the steroids are going back up and adding Leflunomide to the mix. I'm not sure what to expect but glad to be dumping the nauseating Sulfa!
Anyone else have a similar mix going on? M x

i just take LEF and no side effects, no hair loss and its put my RA in remission. Had the odd blip beware ignoring a chest infection it led to Pneumonia 3 lots of antibiotics twice in 1 year. But honestly for me its great I have no pain, stiff ness and more energy. I am going to have an operation to correct my left foot and not sure what happens to the LEF then but no doubt they will tell me. I need both feet pain-free as walk a lot, and the RA has distorted it. Making shoes fit badly. And I like shoes !!
I take the LEF at night with a glass of water and that pushes it down which helps. I stress that it works well but its slow and at first it caused me tremendous pain in all joints it was awful, but stick with it the pain suddenly went after a couple of weeks and now I would not know I have RA apart from the small triangular tablet.xxx Don't read the side effects but if you do remember that if 10% do get them then 90% don't so the odds are in your favour.
