A friend of mine says she knows someone with RA who takes this and says it's made all the difference
Had any one tried Glucosamine MSN chondroiton? - NRAS
Had any one tried Glucosamine MSN chondroiton?

Send them to this page these things aren't proven or studied re RA but with some limited studies with OA - two very different conditions.
All the best

Tried it, had no effect on me. May ofcourse make a difference for others😊
Another someone who knows someone........ it might do for Oesto. but Rheumatoid is a totally different disease. If only it was that easy to treat.
Glucosamine isa bt like snake-oil, i.e. unproven but promoted heavily. There is no scientific reason why it should work. You are taking in a constituent of cartilage but that doesn't make new cartilage grow. If men eat hair-clippings from a barber's floor it won't cure baldness! Try glucosamine if you like but it is expensive for something unproven. As far as I am aware, there is no, or hardly any, fully independent research testing its efficacy. . Good luck in any case!
Thank you all 😊 I thought it was for oesteoarthritis too, but I have several well meaning friends and I start to doubt myself xx
I take it, but I have OA too and I believe it helps me. If I run out and don't take it I definitely notice a difference.
Who knows - it was recommended by both my GP and my pharmacist.
I know a few people with OA who take chondtroitin and say it helps them.
RA does eventually lead to OA joint damage so if you have had RA a long time or you have joint damage showing on x-rays, it might help as well.
Hi yes I have been taking it as a supplement for a few years. I was taking it before I was diagnosed with RA and continue to take it. Wondered about stopping it but it might make RA worse. Sorry not much help.
Regards Carol
I think our friends don't know how to help us so they say they know a person who has RA and uses .......... (fill in the blank)
Sad to say there is no miracle cure for RA yet. Maybe one day, but not today
I have tried it and found no improvement
RA does not lead to Oa joint damage only in cases of severe Ra.
I can't say for sure if they help but I have always taken msm and Glucosamine. I don't know if they make a difference but I know msm is good for so many things and I think as long as you can find a good supplement brand why not give it a go if it doesn't work don't buy it again.
I have had great success taking these supplements - virtually zero joint pain and greater flexibility.
