I was starting to worry, researched a lot of gal bladder and liver things. Turns out it was just walking around job sites hauling the OSHA fiberglass ladder against my side.
If you're in construction or inspection, that's the most likely cause. Hope I helped!

Hiya mosher. Pleased it wasn't anything more serious but always best to report or have any unusual or new pain checked out by your Rheumy or nurse when you have RD or associated diseases because it could well be liver or gallbladder related with the meds we take. This is particularly important if you haven't had a blood test to check your LFT's or inflammatory levels for some time because as many of our meds are metabolized in the liver those may need to be stopped. More seriously if it's suspected you have gallstones it should be investigated that they've not passed into the pancreatic duct causing the even greater risk of pancreatitis. Pain in that region, left or right, could also be an indication that there's inflammation causing the pain in the cartilage that connects the sternum to the ribs, or costochondritis. This is often helped by a steroid injection or two.
