GOLIMUMAB Taken alone?

Golimumab

Does anyone take this drug on its own? Without other DMARDS.?

As I am finding its a bit slow on working so now taking hydrochloraquine on third month to see if helps. Normally methetrexate is used but I had bad hair loss. Any advice welcome please!

I too could tolerate Mtx and have ritux ( about to change to Toxilimab ) with hydrochloroquine and sulphasalasine which has been helpful x

I've been on Golimumab (or Simponi as it is otherwise known) since September 2015 but have always taken it with Sulphasalasine as had problems with MTX (I've been on SSZ since Dec 2010 when originally diagnosed). While things have improved a lot, I still have problems with high ESR and CRP readings although I'm starting to wonder if my chronic anaemia may be causing some of this. It was suggested by my consultant to change SSZ to hydrochloroquine as I do have RA is still active anyway (intermittent swollen joints etc) but I'm wondering now if it could perhaps be added to the mixture. Hope things improve for you.
