Holy ship balls! That's nuts! Sorry to hear that. I think just one of those alone is enough!
Thanks for the reply made me chuckle.
I was diagnosed with Bronchiectisis May 2015. I see the consultant every 3 months and now take a strong inhaler. The worst thing is the chest infections. Just had 2 back to back and had to stop methatrexate for 4 weeks. Just started again yesterday. RA has a lot to answer for!
Think I have something brewing phlegm has changed colour slightly, not very often I can bring it up though.Im seeing HCA today I have a long term medical condition check every 6 months ,this will be a new one to add to the list .I have an appointment to see chest physios in about 2 weeks time.I also need to find out how to go about sending samples off but maybe thats one for the physios.
Hi freckles9, I've had bronchiestatis for 7 years,I get recurring chest infections, and like you have great difficulty bringing the gunge up.I see the chest clinic every 3 months, always seem to be on strong antibiotics,as can easily turn to pheumonia,I also have inhaler,as get short of breath.Something we could do without, on top of RA.x
I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis 6 years ago and was told that it was nothing to do with RA but with the fact that I used to smoke. I stopped smoking in 1988, 22 years previously. I have not seen anyone since. Every time my notes come up at GPs, bronchiectasis is on list but I have never had a referral. I have a bad cough every morning but put it down to post nasal drip because once I cough up the rubbish I am ok for rest of day.
