Methotrexate and lower back pain amy connection?

Hi guys, been on methotrexate pills for4 months and jabs for 4weeks, upped it to 15mg jabs 2 weeks ago. Since then I've been in so much lower back pain! Is it the RA or can it be a side effect of the methotrexate....help! M x

Well I'll know better next Tuesday when I see my Rheumy and physio because I've had a back problem for weeks now but I'm not sure if it's my lower back or Kerr hip, I'm still able to exercise but I don't know if it's the RA, OA or maybe the mtx I'm on 20mgs but I've definitely got pain

I would say it was not a side effect of methotrexate but you definitely need to get it checked out.

Thanks, they've asked me to submit a urine sample to check for infection and got bloods done CRP too. M x
