Locum doctors

Hi all, just had to share this.. I made a doctors appt last week as I had cystitis like symptoms.. There was a locum doctor who's opening question to me was " I see you're taking methotrexate.. Why are you doing that? " how do you answer that without being sarcastic?

Well he could think you have cancer as mtx is a cancer drug. I would have told him to read my notes to find out why.xxxx

Remember, afaik, no one knows why MTX works, not even doctors and rheumies. It just does. There is little or no science behind MTX apart from empirical evidence of success.
