NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 16th May 2016

Swansea NRAS Group

Meetings are held at Sketty Parish Centre, De La Beche Road, Sketty, Swansea, SA2 9AR (on the corner with Gower Road - A4118) on a Monday from 7:30pm-9:00pm. Car parking adjacent and full disabled access.

May 16th - Developments in Rheumatology & Questions and Answers with Dr. Shaun Smale, Consultant Rheumatologist and Laura Eales, Rheumatology Sister

Three Counties NRAS Group

This group meets at St. Francis Church Hall, 121 Upper Chobham Road, Frimley, Surrey, GU15 1EE bi-monthly on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Meetings are open to anyone living with RA, JIA and inflammatory arthritis.

17th May – ‘Self-Care in the Community’ – We welcome Matthew Clift, Project Manager at Bracknell Forest Council who will discuss the Prevention and Self-Care projects going on as well as what is available.

Yeovil NRAS Group

The Yeovil NRAS group meetings are held at The Studio Ninesprings Clinic, 70 Hendford, Yeovil, Somerset BA20 1UR. Tina and Elaine co-ordinate this group and meet on the third Wednesday of every other month from 7:30pm.

18th May - Les Cornford, Age UK Volunteer – Gentle Thai Chi

North East NRAS Group

The North East Group run quarterly educational meetings which are held in Function Room 137, Education Centre, Level 1, Freeman Hospital, High Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE7 7DN from 5.30pm-8.00pm.

19th May - You are invited to a talk by Mr. Philip Powell, Directorate Manager, Musculoskeletal Services - 'The Musculoskeletal Services Directorate, Size and Scope - A View From Within'

Plymouth NRAS Group

Phil and Rika co-ordinate this group and call themselves PADRAGS. The group meet monthly on a Thursday in the Health Education Room at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth PL4 7QD from 12-2pm.

May 19th - Guest speaker: Lesley Coulton, Valuing Lives Project Manager, Plymouth Age Concern

West Middlesex NRAS Group

This group meets at Hillingdon Baptist Church Halls, Patterson Room, Hercies Road, Uxbridge, Middx, UB10 9LS. Meetings run from 2:00pm - 4:00pm bi-monthly on a Thursday.

19th May - 'Gadgets to aid everyday tasks' please bring any gadgets you may use. Plus Fin from Lakeland will be bringing along all their best gadgets!

Blackpool NRAS Group

Blackpool and District NRAS Group (BADRAG) meet in the cafeteria at Clifton Hospital, Pershore Road, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 1PB from 7:00pm – 8:30pm on the third Thursday of alternate months.

19th May - A Quiz with a Difference! A fun evening of unusual quiz games.

East Dorset NRAS Group

The East Dorset group meet socially for coffee from 3pm at Stewarts Garden Centre, Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 4SA and also Haskins Garden Centre, Longham, Ferndown, Dorset BH22 9DG. The next coffee meet and location are as follows: May 19th at Haskins.

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
