More weight loss for little ole me............

Afternoon everyone, well we had an appointment at the hospital at 10.00am this morning with the dietician. Went very well and i now weigh 15st 11lbs and she is pleases with the way things are going with me. She gave me a blood form to get blood taken. The appointment went well, but the hour and a half wait  to get bloods taken was hard, but i did manage to buy a new pair of pink leather shoes and a little clutch bag  that i can put a lot in while we are on holiday next week so saving me going out with a big handbag.

Now for some remarkable news,i walked into the dietician clinic and then all the way round to the blood bank and then back to the car.which fo me was a long way to and from the car.  Anyway everyon i wish you all a good afternoon.xxxxxxx

Glad it all went well this morning apart from the long wait. A bit of shopping always good for moral,  and such a long walk- another boost. Hope you have a nice holiday.

I'm pleased that all went well Sylvi, seems worth it doesn't it? I'm a firm believer in shoe shopping now & again, now just need to address how much stuff I carry about in my all too large bag. Methinks I follow your lead & get a nice clutch bag for the summer! Is there somewhere one can go to be released from the chattels I've carried round forever, a support group somewhere?! x

How about slowly slowly gradually reducing the size of your bag

The trouble is with small bags it is impossible to get all the things in that you might just possibly need.

I give up I will not make a councillor for reducing the size of handbags.

Ha ha! That's far too sensible Smithfield, but you're right of course! It's not all bad, multiple purchases lol! We've a newly opened TK Maxx close by, guess I'll just need to go again, what a shame! Thing is my h doesn't mind so much, it has a well stocked deli dept & the men's dept is quite good too.

smithfield in reply tonomoreheels

That sounds like the best of two worlds. A deli in TK Max never heard of that before. Sounds good x

Not fresh produce, I think the freshest are things like bresaola, chorizo & that's cured but at least it's not full of unnecessary ingredients like sugar, preservatives & such like every other we've found. Lots of different quality packaged & jarred stuff, olives, pickles, a good selection of excellent olive oils, all sorts of different teas & coffee, biscuits, choc, a really good selection of treats.

Do you remember the words in the Michael Jackson song "don't stop till you get enough"?

I think he was talking about handbags here.Lets face it what else could it be......?

Anyway Sylvi it's your duty to keep buying and do your bit to help keep the economy buoyant.

That's what I tell my husband anyway.

I've afraid I have two large blue bags, but they really aren't useful.  They are under my eyes.

I know this post was a few weeks' ago, Jora, but that's what I feel like at the moment. It seems I manage to get off to sleep OK (morphine must help) but I wake up about 3.30 and can't get back to sleep.

I'm in the middle is sorting my handbag out for a hospital trip to see the surgeon who did my knee replacement last September. I can't imagine he'll want to see me again - can't say I blame him!! ToD xx

I'm sure he will want to see you. How can we boost your self- esteem? Or should I say, how can you, as it's got to come from within.

That's a lovely looking dog. Perhaps I should put my cat as my profile pic. Take care. J x

He seemed pleased to see my knee! He admired the neat stitching below but above the knee is more of a mess! He said it should last 20+ years and discharged me.

Well, that's another appointment out of the way. This evening I had another CT scan of my chest. Monday I see my GP and also have another hydrotherapy session and Tuesday I see my rheumatology consultant. How did I ever have time to work? ToD xx

Sylvi....I wish you live near me to help with choosing shoes and bags. 😬😬

I don't like shoe or handbag shopping because my feet hurt just looking at shoes. I wear trainers most of the time. At the moment I use a cross body bag and only get a new one when it wears out! But your post has inspired me so I'm going to the shops later to have a look at the Spring bags.

Well done on the weight loss 💐💐

You will have to show us what you buy darling. Treainers have got very fancy these days so you should be able to get a nice fancy pair for going out.xxxx

Hi Sylvi,

I use cross the body bags of different sizes depending what I have to take with me, I usually buy black or navy bags but I am living in Canada now and I should buy something brighter like a pink or light blue bag so I too will be going shopping. I bought sketchers memory foam trainers before I came here, they are grey with pink so a pink bag should be a perfect choice.  The sketchers are like wearing slippers.  I am starting a Aque motion program for 10 weeks next Monday, hopefully, that will help me get some strength back into my legs. It is for people who are 55+ and that have Arthritis or injuries etc.

I hope they have an easy way to get in and out of the pool....

Sylvi, it is wonderful how you have lost so much weight, congratulations and I hope you have a lovely holiday, you deserve it.

Take care, Sue xx

Great to hear of your successes! I have been window shopping for bags ( seen some I like ) and shoes ..... they look lovely until I tried them on and my feet said 'no!' So it was a new pair of trainers for me . 😝
