NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 11th April 2016

Great Yarmouth NRAS Group

The Great Yarmouth & Waveney NRAS Group meet in the ‘Buzz Room’ of the Louise Hamilton Centre, James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6LA from 5:30pm-7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month.

12th April - Guest speaker: Mr Jonathan Moyce from the Wellbeing Clinic

Lincoln NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings for this group are held at The Ark, Moor Lane, North Hykeham, LN6 9AB on the second Tuesday of every other month from 7:00-9:00pm.

12th April - Guest speakers: Senior Rheumatology Occupational Health, Charlotte Brookes and a Rheumatology Physiotherapist from Kings Mill Hospital

Banbury NRAS Group

April 13th -  Members Forum: A DIY evening for members - please note this meeting will be taking place in The Terrence Mortimer Postgraduate Education Centre, The Horton General Hospital Oxford Road, Banbury, OX16 9AL  (the centre has it's own and only access and is about 100yds further along the Oxford Road from the main hospital entrance. There is some free parking available).

Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group

This group have a new meeting location! Meetings are now held in Conference Room 3 at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7DX monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

April 13th - Nikki Smith will be showing the group some simple and easy exercises

North Hampshire & Winchester NRAS Group

The following dates for group meetings are to be held at Central 40, Chineham Park, Basingstoke RG24 8WG on a Wednesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

13th April - Guest speaker Dr Ravneet Bhandal from the Pain Clinic in Winchester will return to talk about

'Mindfulness and its use in Managing Pain'

Preston NRAS Group

The Preston and District NRAS group meet in the Reception area at the Minerva Health Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Deepdale, Preston, PR1 6SB. Evening meetings take place throughout the year on a Thursday from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

14th April - 'Looking After Your Joints' - Andrea Tebbutt, Occupational Therapist (please bring along your best gadgets)

West Suffolk NRAS Group

The West Suffolk NRAS group meet every other month on a Thursday at Southgate Community Centre, Caie Walk, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 2QA from 6:45pm-8:15pm.

14th April - Guest speaker: Tina Belsom, Podiatrist - Biomechanics Specialist from the Biomechanics Centre in Ipswich will give a talk and also do a demonstration of shoe models. She will be assisted by a colleague, Phill Holloway.

East Dorset NRAS Group

The East Dorset group meet socially for coffee from 3pm at Stewarts Garden Centre, Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 4SA and also Haskins Garden Centre, Longham, Ferndown, Dorset BH22 9DG. The next coffee meet and location is as follows: April 14th at Stewarts.

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
