NRAS Group Meeting—Week Commencing 4th April 2016
Medway NRAS Group
Next meeting: 4th April 2016 7pm-9pm
Venue: Gillingham Methodist Church, 100 Third Avenue, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 2LU (unfortunately, there is no car park but on street parking close by is available)
Topic: This will be a social meeting giving you the chance to catch up, share ideas and information and also to have your say on future meetings of the Medway group.
Chesterfield NRAS Group
2016 group meetings will be held at Bridge Street Methodist Church, (also known as Pilsley Methodist Church) Bridge Street, Pilsley, Chesterfield, S45 8HE on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
5th April - Guest speakers: Rheumatology Nurses from Chesterfield Royal Hospital will be hosting a question and answer session
Bolton NRAS Group
This NRAS group is coordinated by NRAS Members with the help and support of Senior Sister Beverley Travers. 2016 meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month (February - December) at Bolton One, Moor Road, Bolton, BL3 5BN from 2.00pm-4.00pm.
5th April - Annual General Meeting followed by a talk from Victoria James, Recruitment Officer at the Clinical Research Unit in Royal Liverpool University Hospital. They have recently opened recruitment for a study into a new cost effect drug which is hoping to minimise and delay bone deterioration and they are looking at initially people with RA on methotrexate.
Warwickshire NRAS Group
The Warwickshire NRAS Group will hold all future meetings at Cawston Community Hall, Scholars Drive, Rugby, CV22 7GU from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on a Wednesday. Meetings are organised and run by local NRAS volunteers Kate, Shona and Fran.
6th April - ‘Meet, greet and getting to know you’ - Finding out what you want from the new group, discussing ideas for guest speakers and topics to be covered for future sessions – help to make it your group!
Ashford NRAS Group
2016 meetings are to be held in the function room at the Conningbrook Hotel, Canterbury Road, Ashford, TN24 9QR on the first Thursday of every other month from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The meetings start with a presentation by a guest speaker, then after a break there is time for a general discussion between the group on the topic of the meeting.
7th April - Guest speaker: Clare Jacklin, Director at NRAS will present '50 Shades of RA' - looking at the effect of RA on emotions, relationships and sexuality
You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
