Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum but diagnosed with RA 3 years ago. I am relatively pain free most of the time but suffer terribly with associated fatigue so much so that i've had to reduce my working hours. I d like to make a claim on my critical illness cover but RA is not a listed condition and the disablement section talks about permanent disablement by not being able to perform 2 out of 6 tasks. Well some days I can do them and some days I can't (today being one that I can't get up or down stairs without help or hold a pen!!) so where do I stand with this?? Does anyone have any advice/suggestions?

Many thanks

Nicola

Hi Salsagirl,

Welcome to the forum. The NRAS helpline team should be able to give you further advice on making a claim with a fluctuating condition and what other financial support you may be entitled to, if your RA is affecting your ability to work full time. If you would like to get in contact with them send them an email at helpline@nras.org.uk or give them a ring on 08002987650.

Best wishes,

Nikki - NRAS
