Hi I'm taking MXT 20mg and folic acid 5mg missed 4wks of my medication is it safe to continue if anyone knows???

Best speak with your rhumy first as he knows your medical history

No one can advise medically on here would be wrong to do so

Always seek advice like that from gp or rhumy

I would say it's less dangerous than not taking it , but that's just a guess which could be dangerous

Why did you miss 4 weeks you did not say

You certainly need to speak to your rheumy support team. You may also need additional blood tests when you restart the mtx. I needed an extra test when I returned to 10mg after trying 7.5mg for a few weeks.

I had to stop taking both Mtx and folic 4/6 weeks before my gall bladder opp, then I started again about 2/3 weeks after opp, no problems, everything carried on as normal , I do go for blood tests every month anyway.
