HOW ARE YOU MY LOVELIES,

I went for blood test as I do every 6 weeks but they called me today and said I need to go in again as tomorrow, my crp lvls were normally 5 but this time they are 40, what might it be to raise the lvls so much???.

Have you got any kind of infection just now Philip? This can cause CRP levels to go up. Mine soared up to 150 when I had a bad drug reaction but came down pretty rapidly once I'd stopped taking it. Or perhaps your RA is playing up? Hope it settles down soon. Twitchyx

Usually the illness, an inflammation or an Injury. So, do you feel rubbish? Or any joints flaring? Or have you cut yourself somewhere?

Or just a blip and it will be normal again tomorrow......

Hi H, yes I've been feeling pretty rough and exhausted for about a month and I've been coughing and spluttering for a week too lol and the important thing is that they spotted it.

Cheers

TY TT, I'm thinking about a chest infection comming on so it maybe to do with that, hopefully anyway. The NUrse said that mines normally 5, so this has sent a signal to the doctor I suppose but I'm going to see him tomorrow afternoon as I'm going to my Dementia support group in the morning and I love going there lol, it's held at Southport football club lol and free season tickets too so difficult choice lol.

I can see that Philip but it sounds like you are going for best of both so well done! And yes fighting an infection could easily cause your CRP to rise this high. Mine is usually around 5 too now but for ages it sat in the teens when my RA was uncontrolled. Doctors assumed 12 or 13 were my normal level until it spiked a few times to 150 and then came right down to 5.6 with steroids. I wouldn't worry too much - concentrate on getting well again from this bug. X
