I have not long been diagnosed with fibro, the fatigue is so bad. I too struggle to get up in the morning. I've been prescribed amitryptiline 40mg at night to help with sleep & the pain, but I am having to take them at 5pm otherwise taking them later makes it even harder to get up.
I have Ra,OA,Sjorgens, fibro and asthma, I rattle with pills!
I hope you can get relief. I have been looking at the Fibromyalgia action group through this site on HU unlocked, find it helps to have people to talk to who are going through I like on here with Ra. X
I have rosacea and have had it since my late 30's ( I'm now 51). It started off feeling like a severe case of sunburn on my face and the skin became super-sensitive, I couldn't use my usual moisturiser. Then the little spots appeared round my eye and on my chin, along with burning, red skin. My GP at first gave me hydrocortisone cream which made things worse but then prescribed metronidazole cream which I still have now. It works well for me. I occasionally get small flare ups but it has settled really well and doesn't bother me too much now. Clemmie
At first he gave me the gel but because my face was burning, the gel would dry and peel off so I then got the cream. Is it the gel that you have? Once I got the cream it was much better. At first I used it every day but now I use it at the first sign of it flaring up and it's generally well controlled now. Clemmie
I don't have RA or fibro, I have spondyloarthrits. I read lots when I first developed rosacea and scared myself silly. I have ver slit pitting on my nose but probably only noticeable by me and the redness has pretty much gone. Just occasionally gets red now. And the burning cleared up after about 6 months to a year. Again it's very occasional. Hopefully because you've got treatment quickly, it will settle without to much hassle.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about a year ago....apparently quite common for it and RA to go hand in hand. Really difficult to tell what condition creates what symptoms, there seem to be so many.
Extreme fatigue is the one that wipes me out most days, as well as the ' fibro fog', my brain just doesn't work like it used to.
All I can say is listen to your body, don't fight against it. Rest when you need to. Find what works for you.
I'm learning to cope with both conditions, but it takes time.
In a massive flare at the moment, but doing ok.
I really hope you feel ok soon.....just be extra kind to yourself.
Yes, I have rosacea. Mostly its just a mild annoyance, but in the past it has flared quite badly and got to the really nasty lumpy bumpy stage. Its the kind of problem where its far better to try and avoid flares of it (by identifying your own triggers) than to try and treat once it has flared, as the treatments don't always work well, and can cause a lot of side effects. There is quite a lot of info online. Unfortunately besides sun (a common trigger), alcohol is one of my main triggers, which means I really can't enjoy a drink very often. It is important to avoid it flaring as much as you can, as besides ending up with really bad skin if it does develop into that really lumpy type, it can also affect your eyes and cause damage to the surface of your eye.
yes, foods can trigger it. Google rosacea support group or something like that, and try to find out more about identifying (and avoiding) your own triggers. That really is a far better way of dealing with it than those creams or gels, which can cause other problems long term.
Hi I have RD & also Rosecea, for me it looks like I have sunburn and my flares consist of acne like spots and small blisters on the side of my nose at the top, I treat it with Doxycycline and diffirin gel, these treatments control the spots but not the redness. I recently started using marvaso gel which constricts the blood flow and the redness goes completely for 12 hours, this is the only thing that has worked for me for flushing
Yes they can be related, Rosacea in RD can be a symptom of the of the immune system, which if we all have it then it makes sense, I also have Urtecerea which is another symptom of the immune system, I never had them before I had RD.
Fibro fog makes me forget everything! Names, what I'm talking about, can't form sentences.....I've even forgotten the word for words when i was trying to explain to someone that i forget words!
