It took a couple of days mine to release. Mine was considered particularly bad, it had been stuck in the bent position for some while & had 25mg hydrocortisone injected. I would think if you haven't reacted to it over the weekend you'll need to contact your Rheumy team again & let them know.
Hope this helps.
Hi
I have been looking at the information on the ARUK site on this subject which you can view on this linkarthritisresearchuk.org/art...
In essence I believe that as there are a number of different steroids available for injection, the time to feel the benefit can vary - some work quite quickly but for a relatively short time , while others are effective for longer but also take time to start working.
Best wishes

My father in law had one and it too about a week to fully work. You should feel some changes within 2-3 days.
Hope it helps.
Did they tell you to rest it for 24 hours? It's supposed to hold the steroid in the joint.
Hope it kicks in soon x
have had few of these and did take a day or so to straighten out. Couple of times it's actually straightened on it's own, but can take a bit longer that way.

I was told I had a trigger finger just before I was diagnosed with RA and when I started the meds it sorted it out. I also found putting a finger splint on helped.
