Hi all and a happy new year.

i recently had an xray on my hips, the results showed that i am depositing calcium in my blood vecils.

Understand that an increase in magnesium may help. Can anyone advise me as to what to do,as this is causing myself a lot of pain and discomfort.

This doesn't make any sense to me. Can you explain more?

Or if that is all the information you have been given, I think you should ask for more.

Ioldtimer, should have explained i have rainards and scleriaderma, and other problems.

having the latter i produce calcium and this is getting deposited in my veins.

We are not medical people stevefull2 we are people with arthritis. You need to go back to the hodpital for clarity or ask your gp. I've heard of calcium in blood vessels but can't see how that would cause your hip to hurt unless it is affecting blood supply to your hip? Sorry I can't help.

Hi kikideelili, sorry should have said i have sclereaderma and rainards, along with other problems.

now, having sclereaderma produces calcium deposits in parts of the body, including veins.

hi stevefull2,

we are not medically trained on the helpline and as such people on this site can not give direct medical advice. I have put a link for you to an article on hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood) which may help:
