Feeling exhausted : I've been getting head aches off... - NRAS
Feeling exhausted
I'm the same temperature wise, i can't seem to manage it, I'm either boiling hot or shivering! Lots of different meds cause headaches and being tired is all part of RA but because they are so general, headaches, tiredness etc can be symptoms of many other things too.
Feel better soon x
Hiya windy123. It's not clear from your post if you've been tested for rheumatoid arthritis or already have a diagnosis but I would have thought the obvious thing for your GP to do is to order an FSH test to confirm his thoughts. If it's found they're not menopausal symptoms then your GP should then further question what is causing you to feel as you do. If you do have RD then from my experience it's part & parcel of the disease and/or meds & I deal with fatigue by pacing myself, as much as RD allows really. Generally though I feel hot one minute then cold the next when not properly controlled but neither am I on HRT so that makes it difficult to determine the cause but prior to the menopause I felt like that when RD was grumbling away.
Sorry it's not too much help but without knowing your history or having more info it's difficult but this is what I would expect my GP would do.
I was told I have Ra and jointly disease arthritis and oa and anklitis arthritis in getting worse but my Ra doc wants to c if the percentage gets higher before he does anything because my reg doc already gave me lots of meds to try even the shots in the back now I'm waiting again to c the percentage winter is here and I'm worse already. my remedy is too keep working plenty of exercise and lots of water and positive attitude
I'm sorry, I don't understand just what you mean by disease arthritis or the percentage your Rheumy wants you to reach. Are you in the UK? Here if a rheumatoid problem is found the Specialist takes the reigns & dictates which meds are needed in an attempt to control you not the GP. If you're feeling tired & having other problems it could be that because your GP is treating you you're not on the correct meds to stop what sounds like flaring. What exactly has your GP prescribed for you?
I switched doctors because he said I had all this and had me on all kinds of meds I felt like a I was getting no where so now this Ra did some test to c what my percentages are if I have all this I'm not sure what he expects for percentage but we will find out tomorrow then we hopefully can get some answers. Its a little confusing right now
Do check with your doctor ...I had similar symptoms & on seeing my Rheumy he took me off Mtx 5 weeks ago. My blood tests were all normsl, but apparently one in a thousand can be affected by symotoms like these.
My symptoms are fading - I don't know if I will just have a break from the Mtx or if it's permanent. I hope not as I have been on it very successfully for about 6 years.
But I am relived to be feeling better .
I hope you find something to help....all best, Kathy
I am ra pos and I feel the same way I do have some good day's I hope you feel better if you don't i make appointment to see you're GP
