Has anyone become more hairy?

I have noticed that I am becoming more hairy on my face ( cheeks and upper lip, moustache area) and fore arms. I have been on Mtx, sulpha, and now leflunomide as well as the associated drugs. Anne (the hairy monster)

Despite thinning head hair from methotrexate, I have a very fine fuzz in front of my ears. Unfair! I was told that his was Prednisilone. I'm very fair-skinned so it's no big deal. But my head hair, such as it is, has become very curly. This is either MTX And/ or Folic acid, apparently.

Gosh, I am also on predisalone, and apart from a break of 4 months, have been on it since 2010. So...... Could this be the culprit, I wonder. The hair in front of my ears is half an inch long! On my fore arms, about an inch!

Strangely, my underarm hair has gone! My head had has thinned, but I have loads so it's not too noticeable.

Gosh, my underarm hair has gone too, I take thyroid tablets for an underactive thyroid and mtx. It does save a lot of bother though.

It's definitely the Prednisilone. Just google Prednisilone+hair growth. You will be spoilt for choice. It's one of the reasons I want to wean myself off the steroid, but not the main one. For me, that is the hyper-vigilant anxiety state and general emotional turmoil.

I have such a love-hate relationship with the drug!

I have noticed more hair on my face and the hair on my head is got a kink in it starting to curl I am not on any of the drugs mentioned but have rd

Well It certainly isn't the MTX has most people seem to be losing head hair because of it. Perhaps the pred is causing the hair growth in certain areas of the body.

I have just checked a website on Prednisolone and excess body hair, and one website mentioned children with excess back hair due to the drug women with excess facial and head hair growing fro the the head and in some cases meeting up with the eye brows. But the good news ladies is that each one said that on ceasing the drug the hair does begin to fall out.

Not on steroids, just an occasional kenelog injection, but I have lost my underarm hair, and have gradually got more facial hair. Have lost some of my hair. I'm on MTX, hydroxy chloroquine, etoricoxib, humira, + + +!

I suspect it may be the MTX. M x
