At PMQ's to- day a woman MP asked the PM about RA and NICE guidance. Although I have re-wound about 4 times can't get her name.

The MP concerned was dressed in pink suit and name sounded like Linda Reardon to me, but not sure. Her right hand appeared to be badly RA damaged. Can't find a profile for that name. Similar name for a lab. mp but I think this lady was a back bencher on conservative. I am thinking of contacting her. Can anyone decipher the name please.

Hi siskin,

Glad you picked this up, her name is Linda Riordan MP lindariordanmp.com/

She has RA and is very supportive of our work. Today she tabled a motion in Parliament for us/RA Awareness Week and asked David Cameron specifically about RA treatment and funding!

We haven't had details through of his response yet.

Best wishes,

Thanks Ruth.

The PM's response was very brief, basically it was he would look into NICE and "the disease the honourable lady mentioned"

I particularly noticed her right hand is it appeared as badly deformed as mine.

I have had RA for 20 yrs. None of the new treatments for me. Mx and Sulphasalazine only on offer.

Worked for 4 yrs after diag. Medical retirement 6 months before 60th. now 76. 2 new knees 1 new hip.and now the rest is falling apart. OH HAPPY DAYS.

i sent her an email just now thanking her for her support. she is a woman who seems to be into everything......she is remarkable considering that she has RD too. just thanked her for speaking up for us and highlighting this disease. she deserves our thanks and admiration.
