No verification email

Hi,

I've just joined up and have yet to receive a verification email. My address is correct and have clicked resend but still no joy.

Apparently, until I receive verification no one can reply to my posts, presumably including this one. So maybe replying to this by means of someone posting their own question would be a way around it (?)

I take it you've tried the help option on the green top bar > Troubleshooting > Not receiving verification...............?

I've had a look at the 'not receiving my verification notification' in the Help section and everything is in order, so i'm a bit puzzled why i haven't received an email. This doesn't seem to matter at the minute, but i do wonder if i should log out, will i be able to log back in again(?)

Morning wishbone. Not sure so probably best to stay logged in for the mo so you at least still have contact. I'd try using the "contact us" form as suggested at the bottom of not receiving verification....... page, see what the support centre suggest.

Morning heels. I think i know what the problem is and have just sent an email to the support centre explaining what i think has happened. Will post here when I get a reply....

Have had RA for approx 10 years. Was prescribed sulfalazine (scuse spelling) and viox to begin with. Sulfa caused me to break out in a rash and the less said about viox the better!...I'm convinced that stuff caused me to have a heart attack at the time, albeit a mild one. Subsequently put on MTX, which worked just fine until about a year ago, when i got diagnosed with another chronic health condition, which involves recurring infections. So my rheumatologist decided stop my MTX and put me on lefloumide and hydroxy, which hasn't worked very well for me - my infections do appear to be less frequent, though this could just be coincidence.

Anyway, i will be starting weekly enbrel jabs in a fortnights time. My RA nurse told me that having weekly jabs, rather than every fortnight, will mean that if i should get an infection the enbrel will exit my system more quickly. Also informed that i need to be extra vigilant about getting an infection when on enbrel and to stop taking it immediately should i get any symptoms. Trouble is i don't always get symptoms when i get an infection, which is obviously a concern, but my my rheumatologist seems to have weighed things up and feels enbrel is the best treatment forme. Time will tell i suppose.....

My, you've had a bad time. That Viox was a nastie. My husband was on years ago, fortunately pulled off it not long before it was withdrawn. Hope you have more success on Embrel. I have no knowledge of it but plenty others on here have so you'll have plenty of support if you've any questions.

I've been reading some interesting posts on enbrel in the archives. Found out that weekly injections are the norm... I must have misunderstood what the nurse said to me.
