I have yet to register with a Gp for referral to one of the rheumatology depts in the Cambridgeshire area. Can anyone recommend a hospital where they receive Infusions etc in my area that I could ask to be referred to? Thanks

Hi Smith7 I can't talk about infusions etc as I haven't got that far yet but I go to the rheumatology dept at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and so far have them found to be excellent. I was only diagnosed last July so it is early days for me but I have already started a biological drug (Enbrel) due to having 'failed' methotrexate and hydroxycholoroquine (I take sulphasalazine as well). The consultants and nurses are great there, they do seem to listen and there is a rheumatology helpline at Addenbrookes that you have access to once you're on their radar. Addenbrookes has been good for me so far. Hope that helps.
