I’m writing this post to make you aware that I will be away from the site for a while as of next week, as my husband and I are expecting our first baby and I go on maternity leave on Monday.
Through working on the helpline for 5 and ½ years I have had the pleasure of speaking to a number of you and some of you I may even have directed to this forum during a helpline call. I am very fortunate to work for such a worthwhile charity and to be in a role where I get to connect with so many lovely people. The forum has gone through many changes over the years, but has continued to grow and be a source of great support to so many of you and I am glad to have been a part of this.
It’s been a busy few months for me at NRAS. Some of you may well have spoken to my colleagues Sally and Beverley, who started in January and have had a lot to learn in a short space of time. Luckily for me, they are doing amazingly well and are picking things up very quickly, so I know I’m leaving the helpline and forum in capable hands!
Sally and Beverley will be joining Ruth as admins on the NRAS HealthUnlocked forum, so you are likely to start to see them on here more and more often and I know you will make them feel welcome.
I wanted you to all be aware of my leaving as I know that as one of the admins who has been with this site since it was set up, many of you have got used to contacting me by PM with your concerns and questions, and I wouldn’t want any of your questions to me to go unanswered. You are welcome to send messages to the other admins and of course, you can always contact the admins or anyone else from NRAS by email: enquiries@nras.org.uk.
If you have concerns about a particular post, question or response on HU, please click on the word ‘report’, next to the text you want us to investigate. This will generate an email to all admins, which includes the reported text for them to be able to decide on what appropriate action to take.
I wish you all well and look forward to seeing some old and familiar faces when I return.
Best wishes

Not yet we are all feeling our way at the moment I have a course soon so will see what happens.
Healthunlocked at this time has no representation and this site is more for members support.
Therefore what we write are our own opinions, this is not policy at this time Will see what
will happen in the future though
At this time personally I am dealing with my area, including GP surgery I will be also working regards mental health problems, inspections and patient complaints etc I will also be involved possibly with health practice in various locations, with patient needs
With my signing above I had been dealing with something related to Healthwatch and let slip, sorry.
