Hello

How long have you been on these sleeping pills, many eventually stop work if you have been on them over a long period.

I was on them for three years and it was the devil to get of them, my Sleep was also crap. All I am trying to say is be careful with them

I been on them about 10 months I try not to use to often. They do help sometimes but I think the pain just over takes the tablet some nights

My sleeping pattern has improved gradually. I can't really explain why other than to say I've made sleep a real priority. I used to think I was a wuss for finding sleepless nights so tough, but once I accepted that sleep helps symptoms enormously I started treating it as the best 'drug' going.

My husband understands & sees the difference so takes my need for kip into account whenever we're planning a holiday or something.

I take a nap in the afternoon when I need it and my dog Harry cuddles up with me to. I find I am so tired that I in bed very early but land up getting early to sort out my dog. I live with my parents and they help out so can nap if need to

I have found practising meditation has helped me sleep. I do it regularly once a day for 20-30 mins but twice a day would be better. Also there are various DVD's to teach one how to relax and sleep. Worth a try. Do hope you find something that helps. It is awful to lie in bed, in the middle of the night, unable to sleep. I am fortunate that I sleep well although every now and then, for no known reason, i can't sleep. I keep a radio by my bed with a snooze button and I find listening to Radio 4 [which becomes World Service] helps me drop off, also Radio 4x. I think it is the drone of the voices. You may prefer music but make sure it isn't heavy Rock!
