It passed over us in Hertfordshire at 4.30 but just not dark enough to see it unfortunately.

When did any of you lovely peeps last manage to put stockings on ? I cannot even put my own socks on now without one of them thingymagics!!! Only in my dreams can I wear stockings, oh long and distant memories of those sexy black seamed stockings I wore in the swinging sixties, and my mom checking to see if the seams straight, ahh sweet memories!!!! And after only the second Christmas Eve space walk ever xx

Hope you've all hung up those stockings and put out the carrots and drinks for reindeers, I have !! Lol. Lynda x

I have asked Santa for one of these kitchenaid mixers this year so don't think will fit in my stocking. Husband loves his cakes etc and my hands no good with the old wooden spoon now, so I think I may just be getting one of these beauties!! We are attempting the walk to our village church tonight for the carol service, this should be interesting, only a few lamp posts between our bungalow and church, torches at the ready, knees NOT so ready, lol. Think of me lurching along being dragged by husband, a sight to behold, lynda x

Ah, but how does he get on with his stilettos?

Anyway, did not make it to Church, my feet too swollen to get my shoes on, Talk about stilletos, not even my EEE hotters could be forced on. Anyway, watching carols on TV with Aled Jones very nice. Oh how myself and hubby wanted to moonwalk down our lane, sadly not to be!

They will ring the church bells at midnight and me and the husband have decided we shall wrap up warm, sit on bench at end our garden with a hot toddy and enjoy the moment, it's stop hailing and gailing here in Shropshire tonight so just take a moment to imagine two daft things huddled on a bench in a dark back garden sipping hot ginger toddies, thank goodness us two are as balmy as each other!!! Lynda xx

Not Michael Jackson this time, Jockety. Two astronauts from the International Space Station had to go outside their "ship" to make repairs on their heating system, so on Christmas eve they were dangling in space! It was successful!

Hi Lorann, do you know I did not know about that!!!! We had a good bright view of the spacestation though, it was a perfect evening. Hope you and your family enjoyed your Christmas Day, Take care, lynda x

They had to do it themselves as they couldn't find a plumber who would come out over the Christmas holiday :-)

in reply to dtech

Know the feeling detech, we have same probs with plumbers round here, lol Did u do anything exciting yesterday? We were so quiet just me, hubby and my 90 yr old dad, a real rumbustuous time!! Family all gathering here Saturday though, looking forward to that. I had half a glass red wine yesterday and four chocolates, paying for it today, glucose levels way up (type 1 diabetes), working hard to get it down today, eyesight v blurred, always a bad sign for me. Deferring weekly MTX injection till sat this week as that always hikes my glucose levels for 24 hrs as well. Everywhere flooded round the Shrewsbury area, flood barriers up and all car parks shut as under water, heavy rain forecast again tonight so hoping for the best, have survival bag at the ready!! Take care, lynda x
