I'm pleased for u if you've been pain free following steroid injection. I've never experienced that, however , the benefits that I received did last about 6 weeks as well.

Hello BOB here

Generally it depends on quite a few things sometimes six weeks, on occasions, they may never take.

Over the years with me I have had several that did not work, others around one month. Some patients upwards of two months, Take the relief as you find it as a bonus

Good luck

Mine generally kick on after a couple of days and can last up to six weeks, never completely pain free though but makes me feel better xx

I agree, I have generally found it effective if used as an emergency when the pain has been particularly bad and it offers immense relief fairly rapidly. But the amount of pain relief you feel, and the longevity of it varies unfortunately.

Hope you feel more comfortable soon xx

I have been very fortunate in that I have had excellent response from steroid injections both into the joints and into my bottom although I know others do not have the same response. Generally mine last 6-8 weeks. Hope you get good results.

On a waiting list for injection and possible diagnosis of SI joint disfunction. Really hope it works as the pain in my hip and leg is unbearable. I have OA of the spine and FM

I've had both knees injected twice. The first time was fantastic - the second time didn't work. This was quite a while ago. Since had both knees replaced (1996). Its worth having the injection definitely.

From 2 to 6 weeks relief. Not painfree, but lessened. Definitely worthwhile , although my skin thins a bit more each time, so only when absolutely necessary. Hope you get a good response
