A note to all members...

Hi Everyone,

I’m sad to be writing another message from NRAS which is along the same lines of Victoria’s message on Tuesday.

We have continued to see more posts and comments which are breaking the community guidelines by creating negative feedback on identifiable individuals. We have had to delete several threads from this week which are continuing confrontation from other threads. As we have asked and continue to ask of you, if you are offended by the content posted by other members, please contact us directly via the ‘Report’ function so we can deal with the situation.

Can I remind all members of the Community Guidelines once again and ask that we be more considerate when writing a new post or response to other people’s comments.

‘Your participation in the site should be with respect, honesty and in the spirit of supporting and learning from your fellow users. You are reminded that the site is not the forum to 'name and shame' or to create negative feedback on identifiable individuals. Negative references to identifiable individuals are likely to be edited or deleted.’

All the site guidelines can be found in the ‘Help’ section if you are unsure of where to find them.

If any member is seen to repeatedly refuse to respect the community atmosphere when we have asked them to, we will have to restrict their access to the site, or give them an outright ban.

It’s awful to have to think about going this far but the issues this week have caused many members to leave the site and we need to address this. We rarely have to consider this action but during this week have been very close to resorting to these measures with several individuals in mind.

I really hope this will be the last time we have to refer to the guidelines to get the message clear and enable the site to get back to its usual helpful, supportive self. We promote this as a ‘community’ – even if it’s online, that is what it is! It is designed for you to come and feel comfortable with sharing your experiences, when you want advice and when you want to give it.

As always, NRAS are here to support and provide information where we can, but we depend on you to look after each other. We are providing a service offline too and need your help to make this a safe environment for people to come and find others who understand their condition.

I hope now we can move forward and make this community beneficial for all who visit it. If anyone has anything they would like to talk about you can message me and Victoria privately or call the office on 0845 458 3969.

Many thanks,

Ruth Grosart

It seems all this negative activity has arisen since the site was "modernised" I am thinking of leaving the site as it now doesn't seem to be as helpful and frankly I don't understand half of what the letters are getting at!

Hi Kathyfitz12,

Sorry you are not enjoying the updated site as much, I think there were a few hiccups at the start but most things seems to be working now. The HU team are still working on areas to improve them so please bear with us during this time. Could you explain what you mean by the letters? I can give your feedback to the team but you can also contact them on support@healthunlocked.com if you have a problem or a question about anything.

Best wishes,

Ruth
