sorry hav,nt been on for a while I have been so ill in and out of hospital ended up in resus temp 39.9 so ill had tests done they said I had diverticulitus they put me on antibiotic into my arms for 4 days, if it did not work I had to have the abcess removed. this is all to do with the tabs, also my doc seen brown marks on my back tested them .they think it could be skin cancer doc took photos at hospital have to go back in 2 weeks time for the results and allbecause of these tables if you read the leaflet it says you can get skin cancer. I,m on 100mls for the last 9 months sorry it,s so long but had to let you all know what this illness is doing to us all.

This medication is a DMARD and we all know I suppose can have some nasty problems, contraindications can be severe. Your doctor seems to have His/Her eye on you so do not worry things will sort out

There seems to be a new thing coming out with regard antibiotics clearing up some problems in RA although I do not know what that is. as this was on the news the other day, If I remember this was done in the USA

Grace, sorry to hear that you have been so ill, is it all related to RA? Glad you managed to message, I'm sure everyone will agree with me....keep your chin up ok and be positive all the way, let us know how you get on and keep in touch when you can...good luck

I have been on azothiaprine for nearly a year now. I know that there is an increased risk of skin cancer and stomach lymphomas. Also, of course, the whole idea of DMARDs is to suppress our immune systems, so when we get infection they can rip-roar through our bodies. It sounds as if you are being looked after well with that in mind. I hope that you have good news from the results of the tests. Let us know what happens.
