Any recommendations/suggestions to straighten out a bent finger joint?

The joint at the end/top of my index finger is bent and seems to be getting worse. I can't straighten it unless I do it with my other hand or put it flat on a surface. It's starting to affect writing and typing which is a nightmare as these are key to my job :(

Hi, I have this but only on my pinkys at the moment. What your looking for are called ring splints, they have them on the arthritis research uk site, hope this helps. Lin

I wore hand splints in the early days and they certainly limited the amount of damage!

I have plastic splints which enclose the whole of my finger (only need it for one at the moment) to wear at night. Occupational health made it up for me
