Just come back from docs. As I've lots of blisters, sore mouth and vomiting and flu like symptoms they are taking me off

MTX and Infliximub for a couple of months. A bit nervous as I remember the pain before I started the drugs. I have been given a few morphine tablets but I am worried as I never want to return to before!!!! Mary x has anyone else done that? X

Well Mary I'm doing this too. I did come off Hydroxichloraquine and MTX in March for a month because of blisters and horrible taste constantly. The RA came back quite badly in my wrists and hands so I started injecting MTX again but never went back on to Hydroxy.

Then just over two months ago I stopped MTX again - this time for good because of terrible peripheral neuropathy. I've not had the RA back as before but my GP feels that all the trouble with numbness and tingle (crawling ants have subsided) and strange swelling free pain in hands and feet is the RA. I'm not so sure. I've been awake all night again as didn't take a Zopiclone and I'm in a kind of hell of my own but its not the full on joint pain I used to have.

Its maybe just very systemic for me or could be a hormonal or thyroid related. I find this more depressing than joint pain myself so I can't pretend things are good for me. I just wish someone would join the dots up and find out what's going on. At least one of my blisters has turned out to be a sebaceous cyst but too close to my eye to remove without plastic surgery.

But as long as you know that you can go back onto some RA medication I would say it has to be worth trying. Its a shame you can't try just dropping the MTX only but I guess infliximub requires a DMARD. Have you tried other DMARDs or anti tnfs yet? Tilda x

Lupus has anyone tested you for that. Symptoms are joint pain flu like mouth ulcers fatigue and so on may be worth asking .hope this helps x
