A box I didn't notice!

U what? I have been using this new site and just noticed the recommend box! What's it for? Is it to recommend a particular comment, and then what happens? Is it stored in the magical recommend library lol? Anyway if you let me know I might start ticking it ha ha !

I only just noticed it yesterday too when I accidentally ticked something instead of replying. I suppose it's like saying "like" on facebook perhaps although I don't even have facebook so am just guessing! Will have to look back and see if I've ever had anything I wrote here recommended - I very much doubt! But see you have 4!! x

Lol do I! Well I have just made u 3 lol

I've noticed the box it's a good thing I think... a lot of online sites where you leave comments have like or dislike ratings...saves any aggro!!:)

Just tried it out on Tilda....I assume it's the same/similar to 'Like' on Facebook. Do you get a message when someone has 'Recommended' one of your posts??

But you get told your likes on Facebook, surely it isn't a button for nothing lol

Hi all

As far as I know you wouldn't be notified if your comment has been 'recommended'. It's basically quite helpful sometimes on a long thread to be able to find some of the most helpful respones by scrolling through, if you don't have time to read them all.

I sometimes use it when I was going to leave a comment but feel that someone's given my answer to a question already.

It's one of those things that some will find really helpful or will like using, while others might not bother with it or particularly look out for it, but I think it's a nice option to have. It's also nice that you can only recommend, so it's very positive, like the Facebook 'like' whereas some sites (such as YouTube) give the option to mark a comment as positive or negative, which could upset some people.

Hope that helps, although I think you'd all got the gist of it already!

Kind regards

Victoria
