If you are bloating badly, then this is really something you need to report to your doctor - either GP, or leave a message with your rheumatology nurse or rheumatologist. Don't just put up with it, because you never know if its a sign of something more serious. They may need to adjust doses, or do something different.

I was having terrible trouble with bloating, I've been on prednisolone quite a lot this year due to being between proper meds. I've been getting pains in my stomach and reflux and heartburn too plus being so bloated it felt like I was sleeping on a beachball! I was put on Omeprazole by my Rheumy and literally within hours of taking the first one I felt better, no bloating or reflux at all. I still do get a bit of pain but nothing like I was. I'm reducing the Prednisolone now so hope I won't be on the Omeprazole long term, it really was a wonder drug for me so maybe ask about it to see if it is appropriate? XXX

Thank you both for your answers, seeing my doc tomorrow and hopefully get some help.

Glad you're getting checked out. The thing that helps my bloating is drinking lots of water and omeprazole.
