Drink lots. Water, not alcohol. ;)

Only thing you can do is keep your calories in check so a good app to have is MyFitnessPal it calculates your intake and your exercise . I've just finished 3 weeks steroid treatment and taper only put on 2lb so I'm pushing hard to get that off . It took me 6 months to get off nearly 3 stone I had put on following 18 months of steroids . It was hard but it gave me a control and helped me get moving especially once I was on Humeria . Good luck 🤗💐

Carrots, celery sticks, stewed apples with a hint of cinimon (swearing by hot stewed grannies smiths at the moment and loving them with some plain yoghurt)

Good luck

Be absolutely disciplined the first day not to eat any extra, and then the hunger does get less & less. After that water & carrot sticks are your friends.

You might be one of the people who don't feel ravenous on steroids, so if its just a short course my recommendation would be not to over think it !

I'd get rid of anything sweet and carby, and make a real effort not to bring in any comfort/snack items until you've finished the course. Steroids leave me even eyeing up the furniture so best not to allow for temptation!

a jar of grated carrot mixd with lemon juice and kept in fridge helped me a bit, also dill pickles

Hi, I'm just finishing a 3 week course and I was determined not to overeat. The first week I was gaining a 1lb a day and I felt really bloated. When my dose reduced the following week I couldn't stop weeing and I lost 5lb 😁 I filled myself up on watermelon if I got hungry between meals.

Watermelon, like pineapple and asparagus are natural diuretics. Even so, steroids can make me pee a lot!

For me steroids are unpredictable: sometimes I’m starving, other times, not at all. Pain sure goes away!

I’ve been on steroids for 3 years..initially put on weight and then got more and more bloated and painful tummy problems. Have cut out all sugar ( Pred metabolises sugar in a different way) and carbs. Eat lots of veg, fish and fruit ( fructose seems fine) ....and lactose free milk....on 20 mg and feeling a lot less bloated ,uncomfortable and lost weight!!🤗
