does anyone know if it is ok to take 2mg diazepam when i am being sedated at the dentist

Hi Jaqi, it would depend on your other medications. I presume you've told the dentist what meds your taking, mine always checks with me prior to treatment.

Your best bet would be to ask a pharmacist prior to dental treatment.

My sister always takes diazepam before dentist, and my friend always drops a xanax, so I guess its OK. As beth says best check with dentist, I can't see a problem, lots of people do that for flying too, if it takes edge of anxiety and not too strong am sure ok Jaqui.

Dentist should always know list of meds you are on as Beth says very important.

The diazepam should be ok.. did your gp prescribe it?.. you shouldnt take any additional sedation with it however just the pain relief dental injection.. please seek local advice
