Hi

I get a lot of muscular pain.My rhuemy has said it's a combination of weak muscles and i walk differently because of the pain in my knees.Have you tried physio? Might be worth asking for a referral.

Hi yes i do it got worse when i had a bad rash and reaction to Humira injections and i got oedema in them where when you press your finger i n them the finger mark stays there as a dent! It was horrible and so tight i thought my calves would burst! I was recommended to try a circulation booster which really helped although i was very doubtful i was at the stage i would try anything as the drs were just giving me water tablets i was just weeing a lot but my calves didnt alter. Even on the first go which i felt was just tingling in my feet ankles and calves the next morning i could see and feel the difference. I actually had some shape to my calves i use it everyday now and although i still have a bit of swelling left its so much better i dont really notice it. I bought mine though Cosyfeet where i also buy my socks from as they do a size called extra roomy which bought with size m or l actually fit my ankles without causing that tight band around them normal socks do.

One extra thing is that i didnt have to pay the VAT on it as if you have RA you can just tick the box that you have a serious illness as its on their list and you dont pay the VAT which is nice also as its not cheap but i think very worth it

Hope it helps

Sue

If you know someone who has one why not try it out first?

The rheumy I see just comments that I tend to have a lot of "myalgic pain" with the RA this time. That is my muscles hurt, are stiff and refuse to obey the instructions from my brain.

It's "lift the leg to put it on the step above" from the brain and "ha,ha, don't be daft" from my hips (which also feel as if I have barbed wire lycra knickers on - now there's a picture for you!) and legs.

The last comment had me in fits, that is exactly what happens with me, except for the lycra knickers :) hahahaha.

A good sense of humour works when dealing with this and I like yours, very similar to mine.
