hiya does anyone wake up with blotchy skin on their face and neck every morning

Hi yes i do!! I thought it was just me and maybe i was too warm even though my bedroom is kept really quite cold. My face once up and dressed etc goes down and looks fine however i have noticed that when i have a shower or bath my face goes bonkers! and doesnt calm down for ages which i had assumed was perhaps the heat or the shampoo. I do have sensitive skin however and i do try not to get shampoo on my face and i put my moisturiser on beforehand to stop it getting dry and sore but i'm not sure it helps. Do you have the same? Sue

hiya i dont have sensitive skin. but im a bit worried tht its my mtx tht is making my face all blotchy

This has also hapened to me when I first started with MTX, it tends to make you sweat, or perspire or even glow if we're ladies.

Try cool flannels and a cool drink first in the morning, watch out if you are a body like me and get hot anyway, i tend to tke nice wetwipes out with me, like garnier BOGIF cost or any others. If it doesn't settle down have a word with your rheumy nurse.
