I always take a cardigan with me, even in the hotter weather. My husband cant understand it, but accepts its me. My hands & feet are always cold, when im sat here on my laptop, I have to wear my gloves, hubby laughs

Kind of ..... I usually alternate rapidly between too cold & too hot. I'm not very likely to go to Bermuda but if I did I'd take a hot water bottle with me - not the usual must-have holiday accessory that Cosmo etc. go on about ... Is it to do with auto-immune disease or Mtx or both? x

not sure not seeing rhemy until august but will mention it to him, im on 25mg of mtx by injection and have been since November last year as the pills didn't agree with me, but my bloods do show my immune system is very low.

I would have to take my electric blanket as in the night as sleeping doesn't happen I am often putting it on and in the morning the hubby said wasn't it hot last night I hope he doesn't work out it me with the electric blanket otherwise he will be taken it away lol.

Hi, I have cold hands and feet have done for about 20years ( rhynards disease ) but the last 3/4 years my hands have got worse and more painful as my fingers go num, even more since I was diagnosed with RA a year ago. I always wear long sleeves and are sick of it now. Sorry for the moan. X

Yes my feet and hands are constantly freezing no matter how warm the day is! I'm not on MTX or anything like it so have to assume it's the RA. Good job I don't have a husband or a partner as going to bed in June with fluffy bed socks, cardi, gloves and hot water bottle isn't very alluring lol

I'm either too hot or cold at the moment. Went out into town yesterday. It was a lovely sunny day and everyone was in shorts and t shirts. There I was with a vest, long sleeved top, cardigan and jacket - and still didn't feel warm!

Hello there,

Oh yes, I am cold all the time!!! Right now it's warm and sunny but I am clutching a hot water bottle. I even have burn marks on my stomach from using it so often :D

Perhaps you should ask your doctor about getting your thyroid checked, i believe an under active thyroid could cause this although there would possibly be other symtoms too. I seem to be cold one minute and then hot the next.

I used to be always too hot for most of my life until RA hit and I lost a lot of weight. I don't know whether my icy hands are down to the RA, MTX or weightloss now but I certainly do suffer from this as well. Tilda x

Hi I am new to this site. I have been taking Humira for sometime now and I wonder if anyone else worries about the possible side effects.

I ask because my teeth are causing problems and my dentist blames Humira. He is obviously not a fan...
