Anyone read this latest publication? It was the result of a large survey and focus group discussion done recently. I found the booklet worthwhile and somewhat useful but rather 'wordy'. I think it could have been better perhaps split into two. And not sure about the 'kama sutra' type line drawings!! Lol. But better than nothing on a very serious issue for people suffering from RA.

No I havent read it yet. A couple of years ago the nurse at the RA clinic slipped me a leaflet about sex when you have RA. Will be interested to read the new one. Although to quote my father "I'd rather have a hot meal". Lol

Thank you dtech for your comments. The booklet is freely available for anyone. You can order by calling NRAS on 0845 458 3969 or emailing enquiries@nras.org.uk

Would you believe when we started to put the publication together we had thought it would be about 36 pages long but the more people contributed and with the volume of respondents to the survey (over 1300) it was felt it would be difficult to "edit" out anything so it just grew and grew!.The concept was to be a reference resource rather than sit down and read it all through but many people have commented on that it is a "jolly good read" . Also we didn't want to shy away from handling the very important issue of sexual positions etc. and the best way was to use drawings to illustrate what was being talked about. Not ideal perhaps but funny enough not many people willing to be photographed for this section! HA.

Sharon if you'd like a copy of the booklet do email us with your address (NOT HERE THOUGH)
