I am about to start having cimzia injections and I am wondering if anyone is on this treatment and can tell me of their experience with it.

I had my first dose 5 days ago (double dose) so not much to report yet. Quite a bad headache all day after the injection in the morning. Less stiff and achy 48 hours later. Also interested to hear any other experiences.

I've been on Cimzia for 21/2 years now, having been on Embrel previously which stopped working. Everyone is different but Cimzia has worked well for me. I felt quick improvements after the first loading doses and although I had a flare last summer it settled and I'm pretty good ow. I like the fact the injections are fortnightly and the actual syringe is easy to use - you can push slowly so it doesn't hurt!

I know what it's like when you are trying something new. I really do hope it works for you, fingers crossed for you.

I am going on Abatacept at the end of the month and can't get much into on it at all.

Thank you for your kind reply Jeanabelle, yes it is scary when you start something new even though your praying that this is the one that works.

I have never had any experience with Abatacept but really hope it works for you.

I started Cimzia 6 weeks ago. Had my first double dose on Friday evening and was told by the nurse that it could take a little while before I felt the benefit, woke up Saturday morning wondering what was wrong/different - NO PAIN !!! I still cannot believe it. Hope you have the same result. Good luck.
