My bones feel as if they are being squezzed

Feeling as though i am starting to get a bad flare up, as all my bones feel as if they are being strangled, when i say this to my husband he doesnt seem to understand does anyone else get that feeling.

Yes I do! I've described it as being like wearing a brace for jaw - especially when it's just been tightened. My son has a brace and he describes it and it feels very familiar - especially with my hands and wrists. I guess it's just how RA is but my husband doesn't understand either and looks really unimpressed when I prefer not to hold the dog lead or walk on very uneven ground. Hope it's not that your flaring - could just be one of those days? Tilda x

I've described it like a vice tightening around the joint, or like wearing too tight lycra!

yes i would get that as well.only mine is aroundmy rib cage its as if you are having a gaint bear hug.

Hi Michelle. Yes I have that feeling round my back and shoulders. And what is it with some husbands. Mine is exactly the same

He helps me cooking meals an such but they havent got a clue to the pain. Hope you feel better soon hon. Irene ( craftygal)

Thanks craftygal, my husband is good i see i am in pain but the understanding of the pain is something he finds hard to understand, i think its only people that have RA understand how you feel which helps you stop going mad
