I know I should start on Day 1 but I wanted to get two days under my belt before I could brave it here. Monumentally failed when I tried in March, lasted a couple of months then fell weakened in a drunken moment.

Still have some champix left, only taking half dose and so far so good. I really have to do it this time. Good luck all x

Welcome Back Yvonne! :D

Many congratulations on getting the first few days under your belt again. I'm so glad you've climbed back on the horse. You'll have learned a lot from the previous quit and can put that down as a practice run for the Real Thing, which you've now started in earnest. :)

I shall be cheering you on so do stick around won't you?

Lovely to have you back, for many on here it's not our first quit attempts, but at lease your here starting again, be proud. Let's make this one count.

Sending a little luck your way:)

Thank you so much. Have now managed 72 hours without nicotine and I'm told that's a good turning point.

Every fag I smoked when i fell off the wagon I didn't enjoy. Back came the breathlessness, the wheezing - damn you all know about this. Just got the weekend to get through but plan to not drink and keep busy busy busy.

You guys are great :D

Hi Yvonne, welcome back and good luck. I have heard it takes everyone two or more attempts to quit, I'm on my second though I left years between, at least you haven't left it too long :)

Well done Yvonne I to decided to do half dose of champix ,and after 1 month I felt ready to give them up as well, the nurse told we I would not do it and continue taking them for 12 weeks ,well I decided I didn't need them ,and feel that most of it is in the head, once you have your head round it it gets easier ,and that was 17 months ago so I proved her wrong ,laughing to myself ,so which ever way you feel comfy with you do it ,best of luck hang in there, onwards and upwards:)

The main thing is that you haven't given up giving up.

Don't think of it as a failure- just a necessary practise run.

You can do this Yvonne, and you will. :)

thanks everyone, I beat myself up enough for smoking and being overweight as well, no need to beat myself up anymore than I have to. I still haven't smoked since 9.30pm Tuesday night so I guess this is day 2 officially (off I go). I will officially be back here tomorrow. You lot are the best x
