In a few minutes I'll have the third day under my belt and will be embarking on day 4. I must confess the last three days haven't been too hard at all (almost feel guilty writing that as I know how hard it can be). The worst thing has been the side effects of Champix during the first few days of taking them, but (thankfully) that seems to have settled right down.
Had an isolated but severe dizzy spell on day 2 but this is apparently common when quitting and not due to the Champix. Woke up this morning (day 3) with a mouth tasting like a cesspit, as though I'd been on a bender last night (I hadn't, promise!); also vivid smoking dreams (yuk!).
I've found loads of resources on the web to read which has helped greatly - I think with a bit more of this knowledge I'd have avoided my downfall in my last serious quit about four years ago; basically I was arrogant enough / stupid enough to think I could have 'just one' after ten months quit. A bit more humility this time - we are all addicts and always will be, one puff is all it takes and we lose our remission.
Still feeling rock solid this time and looking forward to the benefits which are still to come!
