Onwards and upwards - The last 3 months have been a total breeze.
Just concentrating on fitness now - Marathon training well and truly underway and I've also taken up squash as my football career has sadly come to an end.
Hope all is well with everyone else, keep going all.

Football career at an end? You've got your mindset all wrong...get back out there - Sheringham played at the highest level into his 40's, Stanley Matthews into his 50s - what's wrong with you wimp!!! Man Up FFS!!!

P.S. Well done on 5 months
Funny you should say that Dave, I had a call a little earlier asking if I fancied training this week with a view to starting to play again, the issue has been piriformis syndrome in my hip and lower back but since training. physio and lots of stretching it seems to be improving.
So fingers crossed at 32, you are right I could & should still be playing - I just couldn’t cope with the pain before regardless of mind-set and was warned about a possible hip replacement by the age of 40. The question really is "Is it worth it?"
Well done mate! I will be joining you in 8 days time
It's hard to believe that we the same people who that embarked on this journey a few months ago!, at this stage i find that weeks go by and I dont think of smoking.
5 months today for me too, and also marathon training is my top priority (although my alcohol abstinence starts on Monday after my birthday).
When are you running a marathon Mark?
Hi Barney,
Congrats on 5 months too, feels great doesn’t it ?
I am allowing myself 6 months grace to be well and truly fit, my work colleague has run a few marathons himself and he is helping me train.
We are entering a triathlon in 3 months’ time too. It feels great putting my body through its paces and is a massive boost after so many years of smoking.
