as the tittle says has anyone got a good recipe for flapjacks tring keep my mind on a task p.s havent got caster suger i have pure cane suger does it matter or can i use normal ?

I heard the word food

I just use butter, golden syrup and porridge. Alternatively I nip over to Tesco and get the mini bite ones and just pop them on a plate - saves on the washing up

I take 75grammes of butter, couple of tablespoons of golden syrup and 175grammes of porridge. Put it in a pan until its melted, stirring it all round and then put it in a greased baking tin. Pop it in the oven for about 25 minutes on 180.

Leave it for a little while to cool slightly before cutting and taking out the tin or it will fall apart.,

You are supposed to put 75grammes of light brown sugar as well but I have someone in the family who can't eat sugar so don't bother. You might not like it as much without the sugar.

Only problem is trying not to eat it warm while it's still in the pan

I would just say go for it - maybe try and melt the butter and sugar over a low heat first to try and soften it up a bit. It's very textured so whether you would really notice it I'm not sure.

Remember though, this is the woman that had a kebab for her tea last night. I'm definately no Nigella

This is reminding me of cooking at school. I remember making flapjacks, rock buns, shortbread and coconut ice. I would leave the lesson with about 16 cakes in my tin and go home with about 4

Anyway, hope they turned out OK and the great news is you have nearly got through another day smoke free

Never heard of them but am intrigued now. Would love the recipe as am trying out a lot of home made things at the moment

haha...its just broken biscuit....(Digestives best) ....break ur biscuits till u get crumbs....heat your butter & golden syrup in a pan! then mix your bics when u take it off the heat ...pour in a tray and flatten down..... melt your chocolate and pour on the top....... in the fridge to all set! & voila... not got the measures on me! but u cud guess i suppose............... But then again Angel delight mite be a better option
