Checking in on day 12

Hi everyone,

Just checking in on my day 12. Been really busy so keeping my mind off smoking. Fortunately, one of my clients has given me a pile of work (double bonus! More earnings, less time to think about smoking!).

The wanting to eat every bit of sugar on the planet thing is subsuding rapidly and the rate at which my jar of lollies is depleting has also decreased :D

One odd thing I have noticed though. Last time I quit using patches, I was getting skin irritations from them (I looked like a chess board!), this time I'm getting no reaction.

I am also finding I am craving fruit juice quite a lot, perhaps because I now realise it tastes nice!

Hope everyone is well

Trandem x

Hi Trandem

Well done on day 12, wow that is great :)

I also wanted to add that its better for you to drink the fruit juice rather than the lollies or sweets. The reason for the "Sweet" craving is because your body is lacking in Sugar so the levels where they are low are trying to top themselves up, this can also mean that you tire quicker etc etc. Juice works faster to get the hit in the body where as a sweet can take upto 30 minutes so to curb the sugar hit drinking juice is the healthier option and also a mistake some people make when quitting as we have low sugar levels hence the sweet tooth but we can put on weight because it takes age for the hit from the sweet to get into the body and so we eat more. I dont know if that makes any sense.

Anyhow, well done to you and heres the Week 2.
