I stopped smoking 11 days ago, since then I have felt permanently lost. Before my life was ordered and meaningful and now I just feel ...well, lost. That's the only way I can describe it. I seam to have lost all my get up and go and have no desire to do anything. Is this normal?
11 days now....still feel lost: I stopped... - No Smoking Day

The road to smoke free is easy if you are not alone
ABSOLUTELY
I felt like that for about 3 weeks on and off as if a part of my purpose in life was gone but that is why they say it is like losing someone close to you, sounds sad but it is and all the emotions are so close to the surface grab some choccy get a good weepy film and sit and have a dam good cry thats what I did, depending on how many a day you smoked, times it by 3 mins and thats the amount of time, say its one hour and then put it into perspective that you can always find something to fill that time with.
I’m really glad that you’ve quit
Cause in the past you’ve smoked some sh**
Smelly Hair Hands and Breath
Shorter Life but longer Death
Up the hills you’ve got no puff
Smokers cough that makes you rough
So pass each day without the weed
Cause only then will you succeed
So Bravo to all that now don’t smoke
Cause early Death is sure no Joke
Keep coming on here and you will have all the support you need xx

That's exactly how I feel, like I have no purpose! It's good to hear that I'm not going mad and it will pass, thanks
Thanks June, well done to you too, day 17 is fantastic. I am counting the money and realising how much I spent on smoking and that does help, a lot. And yes I must smell better as I am noticing how smokers smell at work and now know that I must have smelt like that too!
Hi Heather
this sounds completely normal to me.Nicotine is such a powerful drug and a difficult addiction to break but it's a battle you're winning. Any symptoms you're feeling is a good sign as this means the nicotine is loosing it's hold and fighting back. eleven days is fantastic, well done.

You need to find your 'non smoking true self'! Also you'll find all your energies are being put into quitting smoking. Some people try exercise to help them focus on something else. I ate chocolate, played tomb raider on the wii and put 2.5 stone on instead! Well done on 11 days though, and to June for 17 days, its a brilliant achievement!
Hi Heather
I found this article (link below) really helpful. It's quite long, but persevere - it's good. Helped me understand why I'm feeling constantly tired.
Stick with it - you're six days ahead of me - well done.
