Still lurking around,80 Days-or-11 Weeks and 3 Days

Hey all,

Still around and reading posts, just not feelin the posting thing for awhile. Thought I'd stick my head in the 3rd month post to say hi since I'm in that time slot now.

Been trying to keep busy whether its working of playing a video game or riding a bike or motorcycle. It seems like when I stop is when I have the cravings now which must be gettin less but still seem so strong. Passed couple of weeks I just get pissed(yank phrase=Mad not drunk LOL) cause I still want a freakin smoke. Anyway thought I'd pass it on. I know all the reasons not to smoke, I just keep hoppin for the time when I'll not think about smoking for more then 8 hours. Tough but worth it and I'm done with my rant.

Well done on 80 days smoke free that's great keep it going

The time we certainly come when not only do you not think about smoking for 8 hours at a time

You'll find that as times passes you'll think about it less and less often so you can go for weeks at a time without a thought of it Promise

Meanwhile keep busy and smoke free even if that does make you a grumpy Yank :D

Hi,

I still feel like we are going through this together. I know what you mean about getting really angry just because your brain keeps thinking about cigs. I was doing some domestic tasks at the weekend and was thinking about them all day.

Sometimes it does feel as if it is not getting any easier, however I think we know that it is and all those people who have got to the Penthouse keep telling us it does get better, so we will hang in there and one day, you and I will be here telling the newbies how great it looks from the Penthouse and how it does get easier.

I can relate to your post. I have the tools to resisit the cravings, but when they come it really gets my goat. I look out the window at all the yard work that needs doing and I really did a lot of smoking while raking leaves. AAAGH. I am so looking forward to not thinking about smoking at all.

Yea Jude I am and its tough. I have a no more then 2 drink rule till I hit 6 months. I get off around 1 or 2 am my time time and after a couple of drinks and sometimes a tough busy night at work I have some big cravings. Pain in the butt but I think I'll be the better for it. With all the talk of triggers I think ya need to put your self in that position cause your going to be there anyway at some point so why not at a time when your in control rather then a night out for the first time.

As far as a face to face meeting with these nice people, I am so there. Warm beer, pub food, and some really neat Cathedrals, Yea Baby. Remember to look right when crossing the street. Oh yea, football is played with a round ball. Ken Follett and what is the politician writer....well him too. Don't forget the best rock-n-roll on the planet.

I would like to confirm that England is just like you described. Not really raining all the time and blowing a gale, post office on strike, having to pay through the nose for terrible public transport, government on the take. No not like that at all.
