New stuff at whyquit.

As some of the oldies on here (and I include Nic in that :D) know, i have long been one of whyquit.coms biggest fans.

So much so that i probably wouldnt have stayed quit without it.....

However, i have not visited for quite a while so tonight i put that right and had another look about.

Its changed.... and is now even better.

The one thing which stood out for me though was a new book.

Its free and can be downloaded here:

whyquit.com/FFN/

and it looks full of great information as usual.

Full of the usual great stuff that whyquit is known for but in an easy to read (and print if you want) format.

To anyone who hasnt yet discovered the FULL value of education in their quit, this book will be a brilliant place to start.

DBSFS :D

Thanks a million for the link John. This article is not only entirely relevant to us current quitters, but it's incredibly interesting and informative from a scientific and psychological point of view.

A shocking fact which I came across while reading: 'Philip Morris is America's largest tobacco company, holding a 51% share of the $70 billion U.S. cigarette market in 2007'.

THIRTY FIVE BILLION DOLLARS?! That's just one company! I knew tobacco was big business, but isn't that about what the Treasury has just pledged to bail out UK banks? Capitalism isn't all what it's cracked up to be.... And tobacco is even worse, it appears...

This is something that any new member to the forum should be pointed towards. Thanks John!

Will have to print this off at home. Tried to e-mail it from me at work to me at home and they blooming quarantined it. Asked me if I knew the sender and if it was work related lol. They really want to lighten up. Yet I can get it on my work screen and read it whilst at work. How stoopid is that.

As soon as I get the time I shall be having another very thorough read - I am also a huge fan of whyquit... that and woofmang saved me from myself many times in the early days.

Thanks for the heads up, John.

Good spot John, that new book has been downloaded and will be read as and when, looks interesting.

Like this bit in particular, in the introduction:

Hopefully you are about to awaken to the realization that “educated cold turkey” is a quitting method, that

knowledge is power.

Think they got that bit from us lol ;)
